Accounts Senior

We are seeking an ambitious Accounts Senior for a leading local accountancy practice. The role is within a collaborative team environment where knowledge is shared and communication encouraged.

The Accounts Senior will be responsible for preparing accounts for various businesses, including limited companies, sole traders and partnerships together with the associated tax computations. The Accounts Senior will be liaising directly with clients to resolve routine queries and prepare accounts and draft tax computations ready for client interview by the Partner.

A good working knowledge of accounting software and Excel is essential as the role will include the preparation of management accounts and interaction with clients to assist them with their book keeping. Some of this work will take place on client's premises and so some travel will be required.

Strong communications skills are essential for the client interaction aspects of this role. You will be expected to manage your own workload, complete the work within the budgeted time and to the required deadlines. There will be the opportunity to progress to a Management role if the right skills are demonstrated.

The successful candidate will be AAT qualified with a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience working within a busy accounting firm, including accounts preparation.
